Searched quite a bit for this answer and nothing fit my situation exactly. I am thinking this must have been asnwered before but I can't find it.

What do I need to edit to change the week, list view to display events for the next 7 days?

I tried the ssi.htm argument (template=ssi.html&duration=7d) the ever-helpful Don O posted a few years back but the listing that is outputted does not have any formatting.

Thank you!

Jason

** What do I need to edit to change the week, list view to display events for the next 7 days?  **

That is not an option for the calendar's main display. The closest option is 'Week View' which will show the current week's events.

** I tried the ssi.htm argument (template=ssi.html&duration=7d) but the listing that is outputted does not have any formatting. **

What do you mean by "formatting"? It should display the days of the week containing events followed by each's events. If you don't like the look of the page, you can edit the ssi.html template file to your liking.

Thanks very much for reply!

By "no formatting" I mean that it does not display the color and font choices I select in the admin panel. Just plain text with a white background.

I will try and hack into the ssi.htm.

Will doing this also alter other views like month grid, etc?

Thanks again for your guidance,

Jason

No, because that display is meant to be incorporated into other pages on your site via SSI and not meant to be a direct display page.

Modifications to that template will only affect that template. It has no other page views. Most other calendar views are displayed using the default.html template.

Thanks for your help Dan O. Looks like I have a few days hacking into this to figure out how to make it work. I am getting closer, cutting and pasting from the default template into the ssi.htm to get the formating I need. So far it lists events with the formating I want but the links for each event don't lead anywhere...   More hacking!

I am surprised that there is no default way to have a rolling events list for the upcoming 7 days. seems like this would be a natural and common need.

Still, this is a GREAT program, though i wish i had a bit more coding knowledge to tweak it to my perfection.

Do you have any idea how much it might cost to have someone simply create this ssi.htm template for me, using the formating selections from the admin control panel?

Thanks again.

I'm afraid I do not know how much time would be involved. It might be easier to try to customize the default template to display events that way if you want its appearance formatting but I haven't looked into that myself either.

If you were interested in hiring my services (and you weren't in a big hurry - I'm involved with several other projects at the moment), contact me via email and I'll try to estimate the work after looking into it more thoroughly.
