The search functionality is really stopping me from using this software!
I will have to have say 50% of my events as reoccurring events which if im right all wont show up in a search if the date is before the first scheduled event! Plus it will only display one and not all events! Is this correct because it seems like a fundamental problem with the search?
It means 50% of my events wont show in a search!!!

Is there anyway around this?
Plus can i change the default time to and from in the search?

** events as reoccurring events which if im right all wont show up in a search if the date is before the first scheduled event! **

Recurring events will only show up in the results if their start or end date falls within the time period searched for. Unbounded recurring events (without a start or end date) will not appear in the search results at all although a believe a fix for that was posted in these forums somewhere.

** Plus it will only display one and not all events! Is this correct **

Correct. The search routine only returns the first occurrence of a recurring event schedule.

** Is there anyway around this? **

You could try to program a replacement search routine for the calendar to use (I haven't seen one posted here) or you could use the 'Split Recurring Event' plug-in to convert all recurring events to individual ones so each will show up in the search results.

** can i change the default time to and from in the search? **

Sure, modify the HTML code in the default.html template file which produces them.

** it seems like a fundamental problem with the search? **

Maybe Matt (CalendarScript's author) will revise the search routine in the next version of CalendarScript?

Thanks so much for getting back to me you are very sweet!
The split plugin will fix all my problems right?

If all events are stored as single events it will find all my events in a search correct?

Once recurring events are converted to single events, each match should be found and displayed in the search results.
