We are currently evaluating the CalendarScript v.3.0 and so far we love it. However, a department supervisor just called to say that she couldn't get any results to come up in the "Search" mode, even though we KNOW the events are there, because we can SEE them. Thinking I had screwed up something in the installation or customization of our calendar, I logged onto the Demo Calendar on this site and tried it there, with the same results--no search results.

Is there a trick to the Search function, such as using quotes around phrases, no capitals, all capitals, etc.? I tried lots of different searches, and always got back either no results, or just a couple events, when I know it's a repeating event. Whas'up?

Could you provide an example URL? I'm not sure what might be happening, because I've not seen anything like this reported before.

Sure--thanks! You can take a look at http://www.littletongov.org/cgi-bin/calendar.pl.  I have figured out what is happening: the search results are not listing any recurring events. Try searching for the word "library" (without the quotes) and it will only find the single events that are at the library. It will not list the "Library Board, Bemis Library" event that occurs the first Wednesday of every month. Try it again with the word "museum." Only the single events at the museum show up. Did I do something wrong? Thanks again for your help!

I just noticed this myself. I have an event type category and searching for particular event types in a date range will only produce the event if you happen to include the start date (first date the event occurs).

This looks like it very well could be a bug. I'll add it to my list and check on it ASAP.

Hi Matt,

I have the same problem. If the word being searched occurs on multiple dates and the first date of occurence is not included in the search, the subsequent occurences are not found.

Any progress on the fix in your spare time :-) ?

We are having the same problem with searching the events. It may be recurring events that are at issue upon further scrutiny. Anyone find a cure or work around?
