Everytime I do a search, it doesn't return anything.  THe first time, it didn't find the search.html file and I had to copy it from the 'oldstyle' directory to the 'default' directory.  The search form shows all the fields I've defined for the calendar, but when it comes back to the 'Search Results', it only shows the Title and Description fields with the message that it didn't find anything.

What version of CalendarScript are you using?

What templates are you using?

Can you post a link to your calendar so we can see what is going on ourselves?

Version 3.2

I installed the product this morning and am still working through the process.  It seems to work "mostly" well, but the search function isn't working.  All the entries are just test entries.  The main calendar I'm working with is  http://67.17.200.24/cgi-bin/calendar.pl?calendar=Moderator

It looks like you have the 'require login' enabled in which case posting a link to it is useless as we can't see it unless we can log in.

I removed the require login and now it opens fine, but when you try to do a search, it uses my local NAT address instead of the IP address when opening the search.  How can that be fixed?

Probably by changing the URL references appropriately in the config.txt file

** I also get no search results when searching **

Are all your events recurring events? You can read about searching for them in the previous forum message "One search works, another doesn't".

** not sure how to tell what version of the calendar I have **

It should be written at the top of the calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl files.

Yes, my events are recurring, that's the beauty of this calendar and why I select it, so I guess I'm out of luck until he fixes it,

Thanks for the hints,

In the mean time you could use the Split Recurring Event plug-in available at the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site which will convert recurring events to regular single events so they will appear in search results if that feature is important to you.
