I had the calendar running on a website, but had to start from scratch again (long story). Upon uploading the program again, and then following the directions, the calendar.pl worked fine and so did the calendar_admin.pl - taking me to the first screen of the setup wizard.

However, when I click on continue I get the following error message:

Error: This program encountered an error while processing the request.
Note that programs must:
1. Not Be located in a World Writable Directory
2. Exceed System Resource Limits
(postmaster@www.towardexcellence.com).
cannot run suid scripts (/www/bpd2nfs1/00/1d/54/towardexcellence.com/cgi-bin/sbox)

In the cgi-bin there is a file folder labelled sbox. It was not there the first time I put up the calendar. The web hosting company says it is a piece of code directing to the cgi-bin. The web hosting company does not konw why the setup wizard is not working nor do they really want to help (not part of their services). Do you know why I am getting this error and how to correct it?

Web hosting company is Shaw.

If not, is there any other way I can set up the admin area without going through the setup wizard?

I do not although for #1, I would guess that directory permissions are incorrect for your server.

Try searching the forums for "sbox" to read topics on that subject. Whether they apply to your server or not, I have no idea.

I'm not sure what you're referring to as the "setup wizard". If you mean running the calendar_admin.pl file for the first time, then no. It has to be run, it sets up server variables the script needs to operate.

If you mean the .bat (batch) installation file, the script can be transferred to the server using FTP. See my second to last posting in the previous forum message "INSTALLATION WITH BAT FILE" to read how I do it.

Hi Dan,
none of the solutions you offered has worked, plus I am not getting alot of help from the web hosting company.

I do have the calendar operating on another website for the same client. I see that you have the option of creating more than one calendar. Would I be able to create another calendar store it with the one that is working?

If so, I am not sure how you would link the newly created calendar from a website.. so that it points to the new calendar not the default one?

I can't seem to find it in the documentation.

Yes, that is what I wanted to know.

Now there is something else I need to know. I created the 2nd calendar (both of them are using the default template). I have modified the default template by putting in a banner at the top for calendar 1. But for calendar 2, it requires a different banner, but still use the default template. How could I go about doing this?

Normally you can't do that unless you set each calendar to use a different set of templates. But you could set up conditional code in a single default template to conditionally print one or the other graphic based on the calendar being viewed.
