You can call the same calendar but use different templates by calling the calendar.pl file with the appropriate query string. Eg. calendar.pl?template=one.html or calendar.pl?template=two.html etc.

The only problem would be if users left the regular calendar view for some reason (like to post a new event) and wanted back to the same calendar. If the others are just going to be view only, there may not be a problem.

theres isnt a way to create a whole new calendar that works independently, but just shares the events.txt file or something?  the calendars would need to work as if the other calendars didnt exist...but having the events mirrored, even after a new event in 1 calendar is created...any thoughts?

thanks

I'm sure there is but I can't think of a simple way. I haven't seen any mods or plugins to accomplish it, so you'd likely have to design one yourself or get someone to do it for you.

i was just curious if an available plugin, or mod was around to accomplish this yet...maybe a way to just link completely seperate calendars to the same events.txt...

if anyone has a solution, please let me know..

Not that I've seen. If you really want it and can't design it yourself, maybe you could hire someone to design something specifically for your needs?

As a continuation to this post:

Is there a way to restrict the Scheduled-to-All plugin to only update specific calendars, not ALL?

My ultimate goal is to display a dynamic daily listing of events on a web page that uses the same file information as the gridded monthly calendar. I have more than one calendar in use and want to 'tie in' only two, and sharing the events.txt file appears to be not possible at this time.

Thanks,

Davidh

I'm sure it could be customized that way.
