I am currently using the simple calendar script. I am having difficulties in customising some fields

I  have few questions which would be great if you guys can help

1) Can i add images to the dates? using the simple calendar skin

2) The event text colour is black. I need to change that to something else. I have seen all over but cant seem to find where i can change can someone help

3) How do i take out the entries from the whole calendar and import it all to my outlook calendar?

4) Can i extract the data from the calendar and add to my currently scrolling text bar in my website or is that not possible?

I may have more after but can someone help with these. I'm sure their easy ones

thanks in advance

** 1) Can i add images to the dates? using the simple calendar skin **

Sorry but I have no idea what you're referring to by "simple calendar skin".

** 2) The event text colour is black. I need to change that ...but cant seem to find where**

Calendar Administration > Main Menu > Template Display Preferences  > and then either Text Color or Grid Cell Text Color

** 3) How do i take out the entries from the whole calendar and import it all to my outlook calendar? **

See if the CSXport Plug-In will do what you want.

LINK > Unofficial  CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site

** 4) Can i extract the data from the calendar and add to my currently scrolling text bar in my website **

Without knowing anything about your site nor what you're using for the scroller, it is unlikely anyone here could answer that.

** what i mean by simple calendar skin **

So you have chosen to use the 'simple' templates  with your calendar instead of the default templates.

Are the text color options I mentioned available for them? (I don't know as I've never used those templates).

** the scroller i use at present is a simple marquee **

You mean <marquee>...</marquee> HTML tags ? ? ? ?

If so something might be able to be devised so the calendar's output could be used... but not easily. It would likely require the use of SSI and also a custom template to be designed to output the data in the needed format.

/yes i have chosen the simple one but i have changed to the default and mamnged to customise it to my site so thanks for that

Yes the scroller i use is a marquee html tags...

Is their script somewhere here that i can do that or can i change my simple marquee html tags to something else where i can get the date from the calendar easily?

Also another question is their anyway i can disable the links for each dates...for example at present i can click on all dates and events and it takes me to a page with description etc etc is their any way i can disable that function to where their is no events?

for example if 24th i have no entry so i cant click on the date but on 25th i have entry/event and i can click on that?

** Yes the scroller i use is a marquee html tags... Is their script somewhere here that i can do that? **

No. What would first be needed is developing a template to retrieve whatever calendar information you wanted to display in your scroller, in the format it would accept (ie. a single line of text). The closest template available would be the ssi.html template supplied with the script but it would require quite a bit of modifying to format its output into a single line of text.

Next would be incorporating that template's output into your web page via SSI (or possibly PHP). Then you could use your marquee html tags to scroll that text.

** is their anyway i can disable the links for each dates... where there are no events? **

Disabling all the calendar date links would be fairly easy. Disabling the links only on dates without events would be more difficult. Both would require manual editing of the default.html template file.

Does it really matter that much? I would assume most people wouldn't click on a calendar date without events and even if they did, they'd soon see there where no events on that date. It might even confirm to them what they were seeing on the main calendar display and actually be a good thing?
