I am interested in people's thoughts on this situation:

My school web site is hosted on a Windows server.  My sysadmin is counterproductive to the school setting because he comes from a business setting and is at the town level (he administrates the entire network).  He is worried about my scripts bringing down the email server.  So... that put aside... I have come to realize I will host my scripts on my personal web site and link to them from the school web site.

I have CalenderScript running successfully in my account now.  I want to be able to put a listing of weekly events on the main web page of the school site (the separate server where the school site is hosted which is different from where calenderscript is hosted).

It doesn't look like SSI will do it for me... does anyone have any ideas on how to do it?

That could be accomplished using PHP or Perl on the school's server or just displaying the calendar's SSI template inside an iframe on the school's main page.
