Okay, I got the ssi template working on my home page and it links to the main calendar page.

BUT...I can only see the upcoming dates until the end of the month.

Is there a way to make it show upcoming dates into the next month with the set number of days?

I am a complete novice at this stuff, but I am beginning to enhojoy it.

Thanks!
Mike

Yes, set the 'duration' variable in the ssi.txt file located in the /calendarscript/ directory (not the template directory) to the appropriate length. For example, setting it to 45d should retrieve 45 days worth of events.

I did that and it still does not work. I made "test" dates to see how far it goes and it stops at the end of the month even though 45 days is way past that.

Any other thoughts?

"BUT...I can only see the upcoming dates until the end of the month."

Actually, that's a limitation of the template.  As stated in the install notes (in ssi_install.txt):

"These templates, as they are currently written, are limited to the "current month."  So, if you have defined the template to display the next 5 days and it is 11/30/2001, you will actually only get 1 day displayed until 12/01/2001 where it will be fully refreshed."

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

The ssi.txt does not work for everyone.
Try passing your variables in the url.
See if this is of any help: http://www.calendarscript.com/support/forum/Forum3/HTML/000578.html

I passed the variable in the URL and it worked...to a point.

Instead of starting with the date of the next event...it started two past it and ended at the end of that month...no further.

I had set  duration to 60 days...any more thoughts.

Sorry to be a pest.

** Actually, that's a limitation of the template. As stated in the install notes (in ssi_install.txt) **

That is for the SSI templates available from the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site. The SSI template which is supplied with CalendarScript has no such restrictions AFAIK.

I guess it would help to know which one(s) the OP is having the problems with??

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!

I had to reload the original ssi file and use that one. I made my desired modifications and had to pass the variables to get the dates to work. I even changed the indent on the list so it doesn't have a huge white space before the list.

Check it out if you get a chance. http://www.olsh.org

Thanks for all your help!
