** You never mentioned why you do not run calendarscript publicly I asked you before?, **

No you never ASKED (again, it must be the problem you seem to have with the English language). You said, "I see you do not even run a public calendarscript on your site and if you did I'm sure it would'nt display a thing about "paths" "

Those are statements which elicit no reply (if I even felt the need to answer to you).

BTW. Which of my sites did you check out?

OK let me try and understand you.

You MIGHT be running one but on another site somewhere right? what a copout I'd give 50/50 odds you don't even have another site and I'm almost 100% sure as of this posting, you would not run a calendarscript on it if you did or at least the way we would have to,

Thats my 2 cents about you.

** I'd give 50/50 odds you don't even have another site and I'm almost 100% sure as of this posting **

Going by the rest of the errors you've made just in these threads, that would seem just about right. Wrong again!

I DO have CalendarScript installed on one of my 6 web sites. It is not "public" (aka advertised) because there is no need for anyone but me (and my family and friends) to see my schedule.

If you want to play with an already installed calendar, use Matt's test calendar. As you can see his site is still up and running (not hacked the way you claim CalendarScript makes "compromising everything on my server" (your words) an it almost a certainty), even though the script is displaying the full server path and error messages are displayed in full view for the public.

Now quit your belly aching already and leave in disgust... or whatever. You've tried to do you good deed and just ended up looking like an idiot. No use adding more fuel to the fire.

First off I wouldn't believe anything you sayYou have DanO Boy been exposed for the sneaky exploitable script snake pusher that you are! and even in your reply to nothing but truth, you admit you do not open calendarscript to the public, so I will not call you dumb Fair enough? good copout again!

What really got me going about you was the fact that you kept replying to folks that had read about security concerns relating to calendarscript and you kept spewing it was nothing to worry about, your right when using this for personal use behind a password protected directory my point most do not do that they run it open to the world. personally I wouldn't even do that who knows what you might of put in there,

In closing
If I accomplished anything here, its maybe you'll keep your bottom feeder website somewhat up to date and stop taking people for fools. on one hand you might help with a line of scripting in hope of some payoff later maybe down the road BUT what will you say when there WEBSITE IS HACKED and compromised and they lose important data, pictures or worse yet passwords? DON'T REPLY I already know NOTHING. guys like you are a dime a dozen and a penny short.

Happy bottom feeding DanO

** First off I wouldn't believe anything you say **

No doubt, but coming from you...

** you admit you do not open calendarscript to the public... your right when using this for personal use behind a password protected directory **

Did I say that? Noooooo! Again we see where you make a great deal of assumptions (guesses) and then state them as your "facts". I really think you have a problem with comprehension. How can anyone consider any of your statement(s) as fact?

I said my calendar installation is not "public" (aka. not advertised, not linked to) because it doesn't need to be for the people it is intended to serve. It is not "password protected" besides the permissions available for individual users in the CalendarScript administration section.

** If I accomplished anything here, its maybe you'll keep your bottom feeder website somewhat up to date **

Keep patting yourself on the back. An example of another good job by Sonny!

If your really wanted to "accomplish" something for other user in regard to the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site, you would provide some contructive criticism (like saying exactly which links were broken or fixing any of the 'broken' code which others have provided) instead of just your tirade of "out dated link infested url".

** that had read about security concerns relating to calendarscript and you kept spewing it was nothing to worry about, **

Again a comprehension problem? I never said that, I said revealing the server path is not a *major* concern on a properly maintained web site.

If you think it is, please explain IN DETAIL what you think someone can accomplish just by knowing it.

If you can form a reasonable and coherent explanation *in your own words* of what could result, maybe someone will take you seriously? It would certainly raise my opinion of you and your assertions (at least a little bit) if you were capable of providing a thoughtful and *reasonable* answer (which I doubt).

Take your time, work on it offline, make sure it is comprehensible, spell check it. Dazzle everyone with your knowledge! Bet you can't!

First off there is a lot more then path exposure like no html filtering and the ability to read and use ones cookies just to name a few off hand, just like you spewed no shareware or free script keeps an error log I expose your double talk.

In respect for those who run this exportable script publicly I will not go into detail especial with a guy/ woman like you. you should run a calendar on your bottom feeder website and reassure those who are thinking of using this script and show how safe and cozy it is.

again keep pushing your exploitable script gravy train
you may pick up a job or two or maybe a good site for to look into, or maybe even a fantastic install WOW!!

**  I will not go into detail  **

Because you can't... as I suspected.

It's easy to go around spewing someone else's ideas but when you do it is such an apocalyptic manor and can't even explain why such things are! That's just sad. Add to it your repeated misinterpretation/misrepresentation of things that have been said here just in this message for all to see, how could anyone possibly take seriously such comments from youHuh?

Stick to commenting of things you know about (if any) and/or just point to the original author's works as Matze did when he started this thread so others can hear it for themselves from the horse's mouth (not the other end).

posted August 07, 2006 01:13 PM Click Here to See the Profile for Sonny Edit/Delete Message Its not because I can't and you know that,

I submitted a link and someone actual submitted an exploit url to prove it and they were edited out for security reasons, and rightfully so!.

Will You DanO:
Will you run a copy of calendarscript on your bottom feeder website so people thinking of using this script can be assured it is safe to use publicly?. just a plain calendar nothing fancy required, It would make all of us feel a lot better about this program.

ALSO:
Can you explain why there is no license doc in the calendar zip or on the website as of this posting?

The only thing sad around here is you DanO your life has sunk to a point that you need to bottom feed off users of a dead exploitable script.

Happy Bottom feeding DanO
Sonny

** DanO: Will you run a copy of calendarscript on your bottom feeder website so people thinking of using this script can be assured it is safe to use publicly?. **

No. It is not my responsibility to assure you of anything and you have not conducted yourself in such a manor that would entice me to do anything for you.

I could care less if you used the script and as I have said multiple times to you already, (I'll tell you again in all capitals as you seem to like to use) I (Dan O.) AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPMENT NOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF CalendarScript.

** Can you explain why there is no license doc in the calendar zip or on the website as of this posting? **

NO. As I keep telling you, I (Dan O.) AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPMENT NOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF CalendarScript.

** why are you using pictures from another website? **

It suited the statment.

Was it your web site image?

Do you know for a fact that I do NOT have permission to use it?

Noooooooooo!

** I will contact them **

Whom do you think Troy (that web site's owner) will support, me (whom he actually knows) or you? Get a life!

Bye
