I see that there is the ability to create new fields for events but I would like it if you could create custom forms and then store them.  So, when creating an event you would have a drop down where you can pick event type, and then the form changes to suit whatever event you've chosen.

I would also like it if you could group events and then have the ability to pick which groups you'd like to display on the fly.  So, for instance, say my company has a cleaning schedule, a company-wide events schedule, a meeting schedule, etc.  - I would like to be able to turn the display of all of those on at once, or one by one, so that I don't have to visit 4 different calendars to see if I'm totally free on a particular day.  Na'mean?

I wouldn't count on that happening.

You could have separate calendars for each different event type, each with its own event field set.

You could easily see all events from multiple calendars on a single display using the Meta Calendar plug-in available from the Unofficial CalendarScript - Mods and Plugins site. Alternately, you could selectively 'turn on' or 'turn off' displaying of individual calendar's events (as well as sort the display) using the Meta Calendar 2 plug-in. In addition, the Meta Calendar 2 plug-in allows you to post to each individual calendar from a single interface if wanted.

JFYI
