I want to upgrade our site from a 1999 version of the script (no version number I can find) to 3.2x.

Will the current upgrade version install over this very old script, must I incrementally upgrade, or must I start from scratch?

Thanks,

Nope! It will only upgrade more recent 3+ CalendarScript versions.

** must I start from scratch? **

Yes.

You might however (depending on what CS version you are currently running) be able to import any already scheduled events into the new installation once up and running. See the following links:

LINK > Can I upgrade from version2 and keep my events?
LINK > Holidays

BTW. I suggest you NOT put off the upgrade of your calendar as serious security flaws where found in previous versions of CalendarScript (especially version 1, which I assume you have installed) which could allow malicious files to be uploaded and run on your server. Be sure to completely remove all previous versions from your server.

JFYI
