It seems the cgi parameters are growing as you move from month to month, or change from grid to list options etc..

here's the original url: http://www.gotfolk.com/cgi-bin/calendarscript/calendar.pl?config=calendar.cfg?calendar=default

here is the url after switching to another month
http://www.gotfolk.com/cgi-bin/calendarscript/calendar.pl?config=calendar.cfg?month=2&config=calendar.cfg?config=calendar.cfg?calendar=default&month=3

Has there been a fix for this ??  the calendar isn't crashing, but i can see the url growing as being a potential problem at some point.

We're setting up the calendar on NT4, & i'm viewing it in internet exploder version 5.5

Thanks..

Brian

No query string element will be in the URL more than twice. Those duplicates are removed by the script automatically. If you total up all the possible query string elements, I think you'll see that it should never become a problem.

Dan,
http://gotfolk.cus.com/calendar/calendar.pl?config=calendar.cfg&year=2003&month=2

Here's what i'm seeing...

at this url,(before feb 1) pls click on list.

the calendar reverts to january in list form.

try clicking on february,

the calander goes back to february in grid form.

don't know if this is related to the url problem, but it's one of a number of inconsistent things we're seeing..

Thanks

Brian

Look at the URL for the "List" link:

http://gotfolk.cus.com/calendar/calendar.pl?config=cale ndar.cfg?month=2&config=calendar.cfg&year=2003&style=List

Note the 2 "?" in it. That is not correct for any URL to have two ?'s in it. I don't know of that's causing a problem or not.

BTW. What version of CalendarScript and templates are you running?? I've never seen query string element "config=calendar.cfg" used in CS version 3+.

Dan,

I just downloaded it 3 or 4 days ago..  these are the default templates..  very few modifications..

the config=calendar.cfg may be a leftover from version 2.. (which we tested but never implented) I'll try the calendar without it and let you know...

Thanks..

Dan,

Found the problem... I had used an old version 2 url as the base url in the config.txt..

All is well now.. (i think)... it looks like it was the cause of all the inconsistancies.
