Moved from Windows 2000, worked fine.  Now on Unix box and User Permissions set to Add Events, only displays Edit/Delete Events at the Main Menu.  All Files/Folders set to 777 except calendar.pl and calendar_admin.pl (755), also same problem using .cgi extension. Not using standard CGI-SHL folder either, my ISP setup my "myDomain/Scripts" folder to allow same functions as a CGI-SHL folder. I've exhausted all resources and still can't seem to get this to work, including FTP ASCII mode, file permissions, etc..  Any thoughts?

Also, for some reason my ISP needs "-w" on the shabang line in order for the scripts to work.  Any suggestions on what I can recommend to my ISP to set their server so -w is not necessary?  This is the error I get without the -w...

I don't know what you mean by that. Where else would you like it to display?

I setup the user to "Add Events", etc., but the menu only shows the "Edit/Delete Events".  It should show "Add" and "Edit/Delete".

However, I found the cause.  I'm working off of a Mac and using Fetch for my FTP client.  I set the upload to "Text", which is ASCII for Fetch, and for some reason my files were corrupted after uploading.  When I set Fetch to upload in "Raw Data" format, everything worked.  I've spent hours testing what could be wrong, and "Raw Format" on a Mac using Fetch is the only way to upload your files.

In addition, I was able to disable the "-w" switch on the shabang line, which your scripts would not run unless it was on.  So the "Raw Data" upload format on Fetch also fixed that.

No other issues are outstanding.  I hope this helps others.

How did you do that in case others might be interested?

** I found the cause. **

Glad to hear it, thanks for the follow up.
