I sorry if this has been posted; I looked through the forum post first and could not find an answer.
I am trying to test thes script on my server and get the following message when logging in to the Calendar Admin Login screen for the first time:
Database Lock file [E:/home/Default/inetbusinessopportunities.com/htdocs/cgi-bin/calendarscript/users.lock] does not exist or is not writeable!

** cgi-bin/calendarscript/users.lock] does not exist or is not writeable! **

Have you checked to make sure it exists and that it and its directory has read and write permissions for them?

I have read/write permissions set right; but I can't find any '.lock' files in any directory.  I ran debug.pl and it said I had severl '.lock' file missing.  Where do I get or how are these created?

They should be included in the CalendarScript distribution. Maybe your FTP program didn't transfer them or changed their file name extension??

Thanks DanO,
I found the lock files, they are showing up in my folders. I am using Namo for FTP and it is not recognizing these files or changing the names.  I have never had a problem with Namo changing names before but also have never utilized 'lock' files.
Would you please recommend a FTP prog that does not conflict with these lock files?

I've never used any besides WS_FTP.

One problem with the new versions of it is that by default it uploads all files in binary mode unless you add their file extension to a list under ascii files. That should not be a problem in this case even if uploaded in binary as they are just blank files to begin with and no data to be corrupted.
