I added the DaySpan template to the templates folder.
However, when I change the Display Template Type to "dayspan" I lose all formatting and in particular, I lose the "Show Command List" from the default calendar and any changes I make to the template display settings don't affect this template.

What am I missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

** I lose all formatting and in particular, I lose the "Show Command List" from the default calendar **

You'll have to be specific about what you mean by "I lose all formatting".

Since this is a modification to the "Default" templates, there never was a "Show Command List" option. To get to the administration section, there should be a link titled "Admin" which will normally only appear once the user has logged in.

** and any changes I make to the template display settings don't affect this template. **

I don't know why that would be, maybe TubaDave (the template's author) will drop by and offer a suggestion of what may be going wrong?

thanx for the speedy reply.
Here's what happens.

***You'll have to be specific about what you mean by "I lose all formatting".***

I changed the display options on the original "default" template, colors mostly. And on the calendar page, the "Search" and "Login" options are on the left.

When I install the dayspan template, and view the calendar, the page is white w/ black text. Any changes I make to the template display preferences have no effect on the calendar.

Also, the "Search" and "Login" options are not available.
Leaving us with no way to get to the calendar to add/edit/delete events.

***To get to the administration section, there should be a link titled "Admin" which will normally only appear once the user has logged in.***

The issue is there is no way for user to log-in. That option is not available on the calendar anymore when I use the "dayspan" template.

Yes, I am hoping the author of the mod will stop by and tell me what else I need to do to make this work. It will be very handy to have this feature as most of what I post spans 3-5 days.

thanx
