When I try to add an event, it gives me a blank add event page. When I save and continue, the calendar information has times and dates written in already and what it's actually doing is writing over existing events - not adding a new event. What's going on? I've never seen it do this before? Is there a limit to how many calendar pages you can have, and if so, how do I delete old pages?

** When I save and continue, the calendar information has times and dates written in already and what it's actually doing is writing over existing events **

It certainly sounds that way.

** What's going on?  **

Maybe the events.id file in the calendar directory has gotten replaced somehow and new events are taking on the ID's of events already used?? The events.id file tracks the next event ID to use.

No one has done any manual manipulation to the calendar installation like tried to move the files?? I don't know any other way such a thing could happen.

The files were moved - or rather, they were copied over. My computer had some sort of issue with writing the calendar files to our old server. I had those files sent to the new server who probably just copied them over whatever was already in his file. I thought the problem was fixed, but this was the second time it happened. In any case, is there any way to get back on the right event id number?

Find the highest event ID and edit the events.id file and insert that number... + 1.

The problem can be solved by uploading a NEW installation and then adding the calendar directory you need - if you have multiple calendars...
And DO USE the ftp-script!!!

After that, Upload ONLY the directory with the old calendar data ...

as in /calendarscript/calendars/default/

That should fix the problem with blank screen after upgrading or uploading to a different place/server

Still a problem?
Download the data files in ASCII and then upload them again.

This IS the best Calendar-script Ive seen and he first time Ive had a problem with any of Matts scipts
